Kelvin graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Second Class Honours (Upper). While at university, Kelvin was an active mooter and represented his university at the 2019 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.
Having developed his foundational expertise at a 'Big Four' firm in Singapore, Kelvin moved to the Singapore office of a leading international firm, where he specialized in construction law. His practice spans a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial disputes, particularly those involving major infrastructure and engineering projects, alongside shareholder conflicts.
Beyond his core commercial practice, Kelvin has a strong track record in complex civil litigation and professional regulatory enforcement. Notably, he represented a claimant against 32 defendants in a high-profile defamation suit, securing one of the highest damages awards ever recorded in such an action. Kelvin also regularly acts for the Law Society of Singapore in Disciplinary Tribunal proceedings.
He has acted in arbitrations conducted under major institutional rules, including those of the SIAC, AIAC, and VIAC. Demonstrating an equal versatility in court litigation, Kelvin also brings extensive experience appearing before all levels of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

- Acted for the main contractor in an AIAC arbitration against a facade sub-contractor arising out of a skyscraper project in Malaysia.
- Acted for the main contractor in a SIAC arbitration against a roofing sub-contractor relating to a major sporting venue in Singapore.
- Advised the employer of a renovation project on the termination of its main contractor pursuant to the REDAS Design and Build Contract.
- Acted for the main contractor of a cold storage warehouse project in injunction proceedings before the High Court concerning breaches of the Fire Code.
- Acted for a sports official in a defamation suit before the District Court against 32 defendants over statements made in an Extraordinary General Meeting requisition letter.
