After more than two decades in leading local and international firms, Kee Loon fulfilled his dream of establishing this firm with his most trusted colleagues. 

Specialising exclusively in international arbitration, Kee Loon’s practice encompasses all aspects of commercial, energy and building disputes with a focus on major engineering projects and investments in the South-east Asia region.

He has appeared as lead counsel in arbitrations seated not only in the various cities in the region but also further abroad such as London, Geneva, and the Hague. These cases include acting as lead counsel in and advised on investment treaty arbitrations against sovereign state. 

Kee Loon is recognized for his expertise by various legal publications, including Benchmark Litigation where he is rated as “Litigation Star” in International Arbitration and Who’s Who Legal where he is ranked as a “Future Leader” in Construction. In various editions of The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Kee Loon has been noted to be “‘attentive to clients’ needs’ and delivers ‘high-quality advice’” and reported to have clients describing him as a “strategic thinker” who is “quick minded” and “creative”. 

Kee Loon also authors the Singapore chapter in The International Comparative Legal Guides’ publication on Investor-state Arbitration Law and Regulations. Additionally, he is also a part of the teaching faculty of the Part B Preparatory Course of the Singapore Bar Examinations on International Arbitration.

  • Represented an American investor in an investment treaty arbitration, seated in the Hague against a South-east Asian state, arising out of the development and management of a prime commercial building.

  • Represented a Malaysian automobile maker in an arbitration, seated in Ho Chi Minh City and governed by the rules of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, arising out of the construction of an assembly facility.

  • Represented a market leader in the global commodities industry in a Kuala Lumpur Arbitration arising from a major fire incident at a petrol chemical storage facility.

  • Represented a major Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation in a Singapore seated arbitration commenced by the joint venture partner of its operations in India.

  • Represented a Japanese lifestyle company in an arbitration in Singapore against a celebrity chef arising from a failed joint venture.
