Kelvin graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Second Class Honours (Upper). While at university, Kelvin was an active mooter and represented his university at the 2019 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.
Having developed his foundational expertise at a 'Big Four' firm in Singapore, Kelvin moved to the Singapore office of a leading international firm, where he specialized in construction law. His practice spans a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial disputes, particularly those involving major infrastructure and engineering projects, alongside shareholder conflicts.
Beyond his core commercial practice, Kelvin has a strong track record in complex civil litigation and professional regulatory enforcement. Notably, he represented a claimant against 32 defendants in a high-profile defamation suit, securing one of the highest damages awards ever recorded in such an action. Kelvin also regularly acts for the Law Society of Singapore in Disciplinary Tribunal proceedings.
He has acted in arbitrations conducted under major institutional rules, including those of the SIAC, AIAC, and VIAC. Demonstrating an equal versatility in court litigation, Kelvin also brings extensive experience appearing before all levels of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
