Sheryl is a commercial disputes lawyer with over a decade's experience in international arbitration and commercial litigation. She has handled complex, high-stakes disputes — from shareholder disagreements to cross-border investment conflicts — for clients in construction and real estate, regional investments, and technology.
Sheryl has acted as counsel in investor-state and commercial arbitrations seated in Singapore, Vietnam, Geneva, the Hague and Madrid, in arbitrations administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). She has also appeared before the Singapore High Court, Court of Appeal and Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC), in both arbitration-related and general commercial litigation.
In addition to her disputes practice, Sheryl advises employers and employees on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including wrongful dismissal claims, workplace disputes and retrenchment exercises. Her advisory work includes the review and drafting of employment contracts and employee handbooks, as well as advising on restrictive covenants, including non-compete and confidentiality obligations.
